About Ashah

Ashah is a multifaceted naturalist & herbalist. Raised in the deep woods of Northeastern Connecticut as a child, she learned how to listen to the land, to weather, to animals, and to the quiet languages that move beneath ordinary life. She was first guided by her grandfather, John, a man whose presence shaped her early years and whose passing came far too soon. Though his life on earth was brief, his guidance did not end there. He remains a steady influence from beyond the veil, inspiring Ashah to live from within the heart of nature and to trust what cannot always be seen. Branching into animistic beliefs at that early age, she began studying animals, herbs, plants and trees for their healing qualities - both physical and energetic.
Ashah’s path has always been shaped by thresholds. By her mid-twenties, she felt the pull to wander, to seek, to step outside the familiar. The first of her kin in the modern era to feel the call to put down roots elsewhere. At 27, while vision-questing and traveling cross-country with her partner, Christian, she found herself profoundly moved by the wilds of Northern California. Something in the land spoke back. In Mount Shasta, she recognized a sense of home that was immediate and unmistakable. The mountain became both anchor and teacher, shaping the next chapter of her life and work.
Her practice draws from folk herbalism, symbolic anthropology, priestess traditions, and somatic ways of knowing. Ashah works with plants as allies rather than ingredients, honoring their spirit, timing, and relationship to the body. She is especially attuned to liminal moments, times of transition, grief, change, confusion, and becoming. Coyote, as symbol and teacher, reminds her that healing is not always orderly, and that wisdom often arrives sideways, wrapped in humor, disruption, and humility.
Coyote Botanica exists for those who feel called back into relationship with themselves, the land, and the living world. This is slow medicine. Earth-rooted, intuitive, and meant to be walked with over time.
